prayer 4 visa

arggh.... i was gonna just put a post up for you guys to "pls pray for my visa situation"... except that theres no one home right now, everyones studying and i feel like screaming... so heres the deal!

so i call the norwegian consulate today to see how my visa applications coming along, and she's like "i havent heard anything yet. when are you leaving again?" i'm like "january 3". and shes like "did you book your tickets already?" and im like "yup" (i booked back in november, got my tickets for <$1500, tix are like $4000, if you book them now) and she's like "well that wasnt really smart of you"

so... how about you dont call me stupid, when i tried to get my application in at the end of october and you were out of hte office for a month? how about you dont call me stupid when i called your office while you were gone SPECIFICALLY to ask if i need $$ in a norwegian bank account to apply for a visa and they told me no, and then when i finally got to come to you office on nov 20 you told me i DID need it and it took a week to process that? and how about when i finally came back to your office a week later, you didnt look at my application and tell me that i forgot to sign on one of the pages and i had to come back ... when you were out of town again. and then it snowed and you DIDNT go out of town, but you didnt tell me, so there goes another week?

argghh..

ok. end of venting. but i do need prayer for the visa that it'll work out soon... in time... . unless i have an extra $4000 in my back pocket to fly out a couple days later. i think it'll all be okay... i dont know if that's faith or just me figuring things always work out. but yah.. i need to ask God to provide, and trust that He will. and i need not to be worrying about it while im studying. and a more loving, forgiving, less finger-pointing heart.

Lol... i don't know if this is finger pointing in this case. It really does seem to be her fault... you'd think that if she was going to be gone for a month, there would be some sort of administrative assistant to take care of all the drudgery and paperwork and details so that she could just review it and rubber stamp it soon as she got back.

Foolish lady. Or foolish Norweigen consulate.

In either case, you're right... there's no point in getting upset about things that are out of your control and that you can't change. So will be praying that somebody gets a move on before everyone goes on holidays for the Christmas break.
