*sigh*

aahh its about time i blogged!! post-project hasn't really been post-anything yet with running around new york and montreal and toronto in the last 2 weeks!!! anyways it's 2am in Toronto... and i can't believe that in 12 hours i will be on a flight home to Vancouver! like jess w... im definitely pretty emo right now, and im not even sure what i'm thinking. im definitely looking forward to seeing home again, and on the other hand, im realizing that this chapter of my life called "the million experiences of summer 2006 out east" is really coming to an end. and of course, life goes on, and like Chara challenged us, the way project's changed us will be big in our lives if we intentionally let it... but it's just sad now cuz i know what i had this summer was really just for this summer.

when i got back to Mtl to see you guys i was super excited... but it also meant that trois-pistoles was over, friends and good things and bad about that part of my summer, i had to let em go cuz it's done and over with, and i can't try to hang on to something that's not there anymore. and tonite i met up with my friend Andrew in toronto that i went to Tanzania with. we used to keep in touch really well, not so much recently, but we had an awesome time chatting about everything... i forgot how much i love talking to him and just bouncing ideas off him about anything. we talked about our tanzania team's plan for this summer that never went down (obviously) to have a reunion and have a "Tanzan-Caravan" project driving a big van doing ministry together across the country. we also realized that with me off to norway and him graduated and probably off on missions as im getting back to canada, we probably wont be seeing each other for a couple years. we used to be really good friends but it just wont ever be the same. *sigh*

i hope it wont be the same way with us, when you kinda let a friendship go b/c you know will realistically, and im so psyched we have this blog for our project to keep tabs on each other (and maybe we'll get to know each other better and grow in friendship even more as internet friends than solin friends??) ... but it wont ever be the same as summer 2006 when we lived day in day out with each other.

you know how sometimes you learn things and then it comes back and bites you in the bum?? this summer, like i shared a bit in my testimony, i really experienced the importance and awesomeness of God's constancy and always-there-ness through the different stages and chapters of my life. its been really good that way... but it's also kind of bittersweet when i realize how much i need it.

anyways i think im just emo about going home... im gonna post pictures of some happier moments in niagara falls!! =)

everyone seems to be emo these days but I think sometimes you have to think that God puts people in your life for a season. Not saying that we won't stay in touch because I love you guys way too much not to, but I know it will never be like it was at Solin right? But that is ok, I think we have to think about just how much of a good time we had and hope that God will give us more experiences like this one in the future! (hey I have to be miss sunshine you know)

Hey you met up with Amac eh Rainbow. Awesome, I concur, Amac is one of the coolest guys ever.

I'm sure that once you get home things will settle down a bit... and I think the crazy emoness is just a part of some of our post projectness LOL.

i totally understand the emo-ness, rainbow! i'm a nostalgic freak, and will look over pictures and read journals and project binders, etc. till they're practically memorized! i think it'll get better once you're home. and there's always that confidence you have in knowing that you were obediant to God in coming out east this summer, and because of that, you can trust that the relationships, experiences, lessons, etc. ended they way they were supposed to. the trick now i think (at least i'm finding) is to continue to be prayerful in what i do with all those relationships, experiences, lessons, etc. now and in the coming years. good ole Proverbs 3:5 "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." I don't understand how it's all gunna play out this year, but at least God does ;)

oh..and one more thing. lol.

i'm realizing now how artificial in some senses our set-up in Solin Hall really was...even though i know i just blogged about the similarities, now i'll be my own devil's advocate!

there is probably no other time in our lives (unless you do like a 6 month discipleship training with YWAM) where we'll be living with the same people we're ministring with, which are the same ppl we're socializing with, which are the same ppl we're going to church with, which are the same ppl we disciple and are a part of a DG with...it's a super-intense-condensed environment for 3 months that doesn't really exist anywhere else (at least not that i can think of...)

so in that sense, this summer couldn't have existed for more than 3 months without us all getting under each others' skin or having to branch out and do different things than the typical 'project schedule' (ie: kinda what we're doing at our homes/schools right now: branching out and doing our own things). so i guess i'm realizing that i'm being emo about something that was unsustainable in its purest form as we knew it this summer...which makes me appreciate i guess the many changes/transitions i'm having to go through right now and those awesome 3 months we did have together...

I don't agree, Chara. I think it would be sustainable. Think about, say, Barnabas, Paul, Silas, Timothy and John-Marc, and so on... they (or various subsets of that group) did everything together for years and years, when they were trying to evangelise the world. :)

point well taken...but they did travel, hence they were always coming across changes and meeting new ppl, so i dunno if their ministry would've stayed the same from place to place. i guess there are definietely the exceptions though! good reminder ;)

And then, think about heaven... We'll be living with, learning with, ministering with, worshipping with, etc... the same group of people forever! Sure, there will be billions of us, but when you have forever, you'd get to know _everyone_ pretty well. :)

Lol, now THAT'S putting things in perspective.
